5:30-7:30 PM Review Act II- 6,7 Full Cast Aud.
My expectations for this rehearsal schedule and for all future rehearsals are that every actor comes to a scheduled rehearsal having already read the scene, and that every actor also has an understanding of his or her role in the context of the scene to be rehearsed. Do not come to a rehearsal unprepared. It wastes everyone else’s time.
Once a scene is blocked, memorize your individual blocking and then memorize your lines. A sharpened pencil is your most important tool in rehearsals. Use them. Every actor’s script should be filled with blocking directions. I will be checking scripts for blocking notations for those actors who seem lost on stage. All of us have to create the magic of this show at the same pace. Otherwise the show will only be as good as the least prepared actor.
Thank you,
Mr. Steinberg
